My "encounter" with Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet is what I could define as a "first listening" love; as soon as I came across this work I was overwhelmed by the emotional power that this music transmitted and so I decided to deepen my knowledge.
In my reworking for wind octet I tried to keep alive, despite the reduced formation compared to the orchestral one, that deep emotional charge that the work transmits, exploiting what are the characteristics of the instruments used, trying to make them play in their best register. and making them emerge at points congenial to the instrument itself based on its own timbre.
