12 Larghi for Oboe, by Manfredo D'Alessandro

In oboe literature there have been illustrious oboist-composers who have thought of studies for the oboe in the form of Larghi, one above all Carlo Paessler.

I still dedicate time to the study of the aforementioned large pieces, to the point of giving rise to inspiration in me and composing new ones.

The intent of this work is to help the student focus attention on expressiveness, dynamics, sound quality and rhythmic precision, aiming to improve these essential elements for excellent performance, through slow tempos and supported.
