Astor, for Clarinet and Guitar by Mauro Caturano

With the piece “Astor” I wanted to pay homage to the composer Astor Piazzolla. The composition is conceived in a single time, divided into four parts without solution of continuity. In Astor some stylistic aspects of the Argentine composer's works have been retraced, such as the use of the typical tango-milonga rhythm, but the search for the synthesis of some aspects of Piazzolla's music through harmonic permutations that give life to interesting solutions is also clear. music that support the airy and intriguing melodies that alternate in the course of the piece.
