Clarinettando, by Francesco Pio Ferrentino

This short quartet with a bright and carefree character, was born from the pleasure of playing together with my clarinet quartet "Mediterranean Clarinet Quartet" formed in the benches of the Salerno Conservatory.

The piece is written for three Soprani Clarinets in Bb and one Bass Clarinet, it has a simple structure in a single "allegro" tempo. From the very first bars the melodic lines chase each other between the various voices in a continuous "game" that characterizes the brilliance and lightness, as if the clarinets were not playing, but "Clarinettando".
