Memory, for Sax alto and Piano by Salvatore Marchese

This piece with a simple and linear melody was born from the idea of giving young saxophonists the opportunity to approach chamber music with piano from the very first lessons.

The piece is conceived in three parts, the first and third similar, the second contrasting solemn and majestic character.

The entire piece is focused on the medium register of the sax, almost wanting to fix that register both from the respiratory and pitch aspects, while the piano harmoniously accompanies and enriches the melody as in a mnemonic "Memory" memory.
