The Carmina Burana is a collection of medieval songs written between 1100 and 1200. In 1937 the German composer Carl Orff set some of them to music, creating a famous scenic cantata for choir and orchestra.
In this elaboration for clarinet choir, I transcribed 10 of Orff's 25 pieces, paying particular attention to preserving the majestic and jovial character of the work.
