This Fantasia on different motifs by Päer is part of the Trois Fantasies sur divers morceaux de Rossini et Päer for clarinet and piano published by the publisher Pacini in Paris in 1828, during his stay in the French capital where he gave several concerts,

also in the presence of his friend the composer Gioachino Rossini.

Fraught with technical difficulties, the fantasy presents and virtuosically develops the aria «Ah me deh scendi soave amore» from the Opera Camilla (1799) and the introductory Overture to the Opera Achille (1801) by Ferdinando Päer (1771-1839).
