Le Bande in Italia (Civili e Militari) ed Organologia del Clarinetto, by Francesco Pio Ferrentino

With this work of mine, I wanted to trace the origins of musical bands in our country and their role as a historical, social, cultural and economic component of our territories, focusing on those who, over the last few centuries, have provided a valid contribution. for the affirmation of these musical formations, present almost everywhere. In this frame, I wanted to talk about my instrument, or the clarinet, and its evolution in history, both in a technical and autobiographical key, focusing on its pedagogical function and how music in general, and the clarinet in particular, have influenced on my musical growth and training.
