The Concertino op.48 for clarinet and small orchestra dated 1918, is a song full of lyricism, linked to the classical canons, but offered in a completely atypical language therefore new and never predictable.

This work aims to shed light on one of the greatest composers of the last century, too often forgotten, especially in Italy: Maestro Ferruccio Busoni. In particular, our study focuses on the general analysis of the Concertino op.48 for clarinet and small orchestra.

Illustrious and magnificent interpreter of Bach, Mozart, Liszt, Chopin and Beethoven, high conductor and brilliant composer, Ferruccio Busoni was described by the Germans as "Musiker, Denker, Lehrer" Musician, Thinker, Teacher.

He showed up with "I'm a Musician!" and in this statement there was all his awareness of being a complete musician.

His writings show his nonconformism, his being a free thinker, a citizen of the world, metropolitan, apolitical, non-partisan, simply unique, a true Master.
